Le r\u00e9giment a \u00e9t\u00e9 cr\u00e9\u00e9 le 2 ao\u00fbt 1919 \u00e0 Colmar, o\u00f9 il est toujours bas\u00e9, mais la commune reste la ville de garnison d&rsquo;origine avec son installation au quartier Kl\u00e9ber pendant la guerre 14-18. Les g\u00e9r\u00f4mois sont tr\u00e8s attach\u00e9s\u00a0 \u00e0 l&rsquo;histoire du 152\u00e8me RI\u00a0 pour avoir \u00e9t\u00e9 bas\u00e9s sur les bords du lac, mais aussi pour avoir compt\u00e9 dans ses rangs des enfants du pays qui se sont battus notamment \u00e0 L\u2019Hartmannswillerkopf, rebaptis\u00e9 aussi\u00a0 le \u00ab\u00a0Vieil Armand\u00a0\u00bb. Un fait d&rsquo;armes qui leur a valu le surnom par les allemands de Diables Rouges tellement ils auront fait preuve d\u2019h\u00e9ro\u00efsme.<\/p>\n<p>Le 26 juin, apr\u00e8s un d\u00e9p\u00f4t de gerbe au pied de la porte de l&rsquo;ancienne caserne du quartier Kl\u00e9ber, les soldats s\u2019\u00e9lanceront \u00e0 9h pour un raid de 52 km direction l\u2019Alsace via les cr\u00eates : en tenue de combat avec casque lourd, sac \u00e0 dos, gilet et armement avec descente en rappel et attaques ennemies au programme avec la participation du 16\u00e8me bataillon de chausseurs de Bitche.
